Wow! I'm so glad you told me about this website. I wasn't living in Mobile when Katrina hit. Instead I was living in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl when Katrina came ashore as a Cat 1. Living in S. FL in 2004 and 2005 when hurricanes were hitting us once a week, and myself losing a lot during Hurricane Wilma, I can certainly appreciate what horrific thing you and others here went thru. Living in Mobile now and still hearing and seeing what victims went thru is a very humbling experience. No one will really know the true experience unless it is from the victims. Thank GOD, someone like you had enough strength to share with everyone your experience, sharing the honesty of what really happened from someone who didn't want to take advantage, made the best of the situation and overcame such an obstacle with dignity and success!
